So this new gb.org will have a revamped staff and such? That has been needed for a while…

Like I said, it will be a fresh change. Things are going to start out simple and grow over time. I think you will be quite pleased.

Good I hope a more balanced staff than what is in place now.

“More balanced”, in what way?

Meaning people shouldn't be afraid to speak their mind and voice their opinion. Yes, there will be no fear and loathing at Ghostbusters.org.

There are other sites to choose if you want that.

Gotta admit Sandy, I don't fully understand what you mean by “more balanced”…

care to elaborate?

The fact that you posted back speaks volumes. I'm not picking on anyone, but mods should not take this position personally. If you do, you have lost perspective.

Moderators are good citizens that keep the community honest. Justice should be blind. Criticism and opinion should be welcomed and, of course, you should be able to hold your own opinion as a mod. But you should also know when to let things go. This is a very important part of being a mod and some people have a hard time with that part of it. Otherwise, we have a very solid team here and I am very happy. So let's all get back on topic. The question was addressed and answered.

Thank you Chad! He said it, mods taking things personally. You guys that took it personally and Kingpin, no offense, your attitude is part of the problem. I have been insulted, told off and plain out chewed out on this forum by mods for STUPID things and that is bulls**t. I have left this site twice as I couldn't stand the crap. We have lost GOOD members to the attitudes. That is a damn shame. Get over yourselves! This is a forum about Ghostbusters and for FUN, not egos. And when THE MAN, Chad, that owns the sites sees this, then I am not blowing smoke. I would offer my services to do staffing as I think new blood is needed, but if I didn't get that I would just want a site where mods wouldn't be so tight wads like you Kingpin that it is all personal and insults start flying. ENOUGH. Lets have fun on this site, or the new site and leave the egos behind. I am not picking on you Kingpin, but you seemingly LOVE to but heads with me and take everything said personally, and that is wrong like Chad said. I am saying this is a “just talking” attitude and not fighting. So if all in this topic, Kingpin etc, get mad and take this the wrong way (NO offense but probably will) I am out of it and let Chad handle it. Just speaking my opinion.

That's your interpretation of those past events, although sometimes there is more than one side to a particular story. It wouldn't be a new thing for a slighted forum member to call some form of moderation action taken against them ‘unjust’ or ‘bull’.

We have lost GOOD members to the attitudes. That is a damn shame. Get over yourselves!

If you have any specific examples then please point them out, I presently don't recall anyone leaving of recent with the declaration that they can't stay here because of the way this forum is moderated.

Generalisations are not specific examples aren't proof, and if you're making them because you simply don't like the current staff, or specifically, me, then it does bring a question to your agenda. Are you making these remarks because you generally think this forum is not being run right or because you have an axe to grind.

but you seemingly LOVE to but heads with me and take everything said personally

Until you insulted the mod staff in this topic, I couldn't recall the last time we'd ‘butted heads’, as you put it.

Kingpin please read Chad's post, again if you need to. If you think I once again “insulted the mod staff” you have lost perspective. If you can't welcome criticism then you don't need to be a mod. Taking insult to anything said to you is taking your position to far. I am not going to post again on this as Chad said to get back on topic and no I am not sucking up to him, but I know when the owner of the site says to drop it you drop it. And by the way, fome is a member that doesn't post on here because of mod attitude and I have his private message to prove it and you can check it was August of 2008 since his last post. Your proof sir. I am DONE. *OUT of the conversation.*

The majority of the forum moderators (Castewar, Zack, Ron, Sinister, myself) found him to be becoming going off topic far too easily and frequently, and that he was unwilling to take a public fued with another forum member into the PM after several public requests (his option was to either take it private, or drop it publically).
