Just stopping by to say that I'm still working on the ECTO-1. I know after so much time it seems I'll never finish but I will because I will never give up on it.

Don't worry; we all know that art is something which cannot be rushed. I'd personally rather see a thing of beauty completed over a long time than something put together in a hurry.

The first beta test worked. But just as with many beta tests, there are lots of things that need to be fixed. The chrome is not showing on the body, the logos have the edges showing, the wheels need to be re-sized, and the hood needs to be fixed. That's why the hood is not in the pictures.

The pictures look terrible because they been re-sized.

Are you planning to extend the front antennae once the roof rack has been put onto the car?

but there are some things i found:

1. i dont see any front flasher in the grille! where are they?
(if u dont know what i mean im looking for some pics for u)

2. correct me if im wrong but i thought the symbol and the wings have the same red?!?!?!

3. the toned area on the sidewindows and rearwindow should be a bit darker!

4. it should be lower on the streat! but not like a dub tuned lowrider! maybe it will lower down when re-size the wheels?

The antennae shown there is the small one. There will be another longer antennae added later along with the roof rack. From what I seen in refrence photos there are two antennas.

I have already made those flasher lights but didn't include them in the beta test because I only want the car in the game, no lights or anything, yet.

I designed the car so you can make the wings come in any color you want by going to the “pay n spray” garages in the game. I'll find a good shade of red sometime later.

The wheels need to be re-sized and after I do that the car will be the correct height off the ground.

I'm going to be starting the roof rack now. I went searching for roof rack reference photos and found an awesome source: http://www.gbfans.com/equipment/reference/31/

But since that is a “replica” do you all think it's reliable? I mean obviously I can look at photos of the actual roof rack from the movie and see for myself if it's like the real thing. But the photos of the actual roof rack are not nearly as good in quality as those photos, and don't come in as many angles. So I'm mainly going to be using the reference photos of that replica roof rack for my model and just want to see if you all think that's a good idea.

from what i read in the whole web these pics are from “THE ecto”, “restored” for promotion purpos (ghostbusters the videogame)
i mean they took the original car from the movie and repaired it!
but i could also be wrong in that matter!
but if u ask me if i would take these for referece?

take all the proton packs. everyone says that his proton pack is 100% movieaccurate!
but they look all quit different!

but even the packs from the movies changed form scenen to scene! why?

That's a good point, I guess I'll use these reference photos with confidence. Though the part those two orange pipes connect to looks to be grayish in the movie, but I'll just switch the colors a little.

I started to roof rack today. I'm off with a slow start, but very good start. I'm making the black bars which make up the frame of the roof rack.

I'm still trying to get a good beta version in the game. Though I can't seem to get the second kind of chrome to work. So I just used the high reflection chrome on the windows and the body. Looks a bit too shiny but I'm still working on it.

Notice that part that partially covers the back wheels is missing in one of the photos. On lots of replicas I see that part is included but in the movie I didn't see that part. So I made that part come as an optional item in the game.

u should deffenently work on the chrome!
for me it looks like one piece painted in white and grey! it isnt clear enough that this is white colour and this an other part in chrome!
use an other shader or just an other bitmap for the chrome-reflection!
the reflection on the rest is good, i like how the light breaks on the windsreens corner!
for the cover at the rearwheels, i looked the mooviescene where ecto1 appeared the first time (as ecto1, first bust) and yes, it has those things! so use them please!

*They're present throughout the first film, however not in the second when the original Ecto makes it's cameo.

*They are on the “refurbished” Ecto-1, as it stands today, however.
