Whenever it seems like this will never get finished just think back to these days:

I’ve come a long way.

I’ve been working on the front seat for days now but I’ve been making it to look like the seat from Chad’s ECTO. I can’t find many good pictures of the front seat in the real ECTO-1 so I don’t know if the seat I’m spending my entire time making is even close to the movie car’s seat.

I’m afraid the front seat from the movie car had no head rest and was much different looking than the seat in Chad’s ECTO.

Thanks for finding those but I’m afraid those pictures confirm my fears. The front bench seat I’ve been making is not like the one in the real ECTO-1.

These here are the reference pictures I’ve been using, so this is what the ECTO-1’s front seat is going to look like.

Might not be like the one in the movie but I guess it’s still okay. Sure has been hard making it though, the curves in the seat are so hard to match in the 3D world.

But I still haven’t heard any feedback about the update pictures. What do you all think of the update pictures? Do you like those custom wheels I made? Or the door handles and seats?

I just about finished the bench seat and have it put in the car. But the proportions are not working out too good both on the seat and the divider. The red lines in this picture show what I mean.

I guess once again I can’t get something perfect on the model But do you think it looks alright? I tried to get it as close as possible to the real thing.

*It looks fine to me (*peter) …As long as they are “caddy” seats I'm kosher :p …

*Cheers.

It all looks fantastic to me. I can't wait to drive around in it through Vice City.

I really wanted to see what the car would look like in the game so I put it in for a preview.

Here is what it looks like in the game right now.

Not too bad, once the shading and texturing is done it will look real nice.

The reason the car appears to be off the ground is because I stuck it to an already made car for the game so that the game will just render the car as part of the other car's body, if that makes sense to you.

I just made a huge discovery!

The program I use has an automatic snapping mode that I never used before but I just started playing around with it today and this thing is amazing. The automatic vertex welder that would only kind of work now works flawlessly when I activate the snapping mode.

This will make shading the mesh much easier and better looking. Right now I really don’t know much about shading and rendering so I really need to learn this stuff quickly because after the interior is done all is left to do is throw in the engine and the shading begins.
