What I said was not out of line.

People who work hard and produce their entertainment for FREE hold no obligation to anyone. Impatience on any level for something you aren't paying for is preposterous.

Then, this post pops up now, so I am just a little confused of where the movie progress is. So when I think the editing is almost done, I thought Hank would've gotten all the shots already. See my thinking? My post was not to insult anyone or whatever, I didn't even think of doing it..

Here's a workable example, Snakes on a Plane was in the editing process, and I believe near completion before they decided to shoot additional footage for the film.

You may as well consider all films still open for work until they're out of the editor's hands and on something that can't be changed, such as a finalized CD or celluoid in a film can.

Plus, aside from this new thing, they might see something during the editing process that's mucking up a scene and they can't save the shot by editing it out… which would mean another point where they'd have to re-shoot scenes or even shoot new ones.

It's like the ‘crowd taster’ previews, sometimes whole new endings are shot after the first edit of a film if the crowd didn't like the ending.

Until it's announced that the film is out of production Hank can do what he pleases. There is no set release date, and to be honest editing can go up to the last second before release. South Park only render the final episodes about an hour before air. It'll get here when it gets here…just be patient!

Oh, and nice pictures…

Maybe, but I don't think it's right to call him a retard just because he said it was taking a while to finish the film. I'm not saying he should hurry and finish the film, I know how pain staking the process is, I've done a few myself (although not to this extent). But I don't think it's necessary to call him that. It wasn't like he said, “hurry up and finish it already”. he just thought it was taking a while.

Plus he put “lol” which means “laugh out loud”, which means he was probably joking. I myself don't mind waiting. It's there project, and they can do whatever they want for it.

Exactly. I am not going to gripe and keep at this, but many sites would have issued a warning for using “retarded” at all. *shrugs* I don't care, just don't be calling me names for my opinions/questions…….

I agree with said statement. Hank is just doing what needs to be done to get the best out of ROTGB. Hell, based on pre-screening reviews and trailer reviews, I have to add to “Generation” such as an additional large scale battle in the film and even releasing a second trailer. When you have the power to make a film even better, I say use that power! It will only help out in the end.

“Movies aren't finished, they're abandoned.”

Too often is that true for studio films. Nice thing about independant or student stuff, it's your baby, your time spent, and it's going to come out when it's damn well ready
