Ok let's just say that there will be a special edition how would you make it look and what would you put in it?
Here is what my version would be:
1. The case would be tin and designed to look like the firehouse headquarters with the game inside but the game cover in the special edition would be different from the regular version.
2. If the game is released during the 25th anniversary I would have both of the films packed inside the case with special edition covers featuring a 25th anniversary logo. I know we all have the green special edition box set but you could keep the films as a collectors item.
3. A color photo of Murray, Akroyd, Ramis, and Hudson as the Ghostbusters. I would have one photo actually autographed by each of them and have it copied for the game that way everyone would get a photo with signatures.
4. Maybe a Soundtrack featuring all of the tracks from both films, basically it would be both soundtracks combined with a new cover.
5. You can't forget about Slimer so maybe a action figure of him could be included.
6. Finally I would add a Stay Puft Marshmellow Man keychain
I don't even need to think of what this would actually cost us if it was made for real because most special editions are $80-$90.

I like it. But how about a little container of ecto-plasm with a little ghost figurine inside! lol

My box would be a trap, that would open and the inside of the box would contain a regular game case with a special cover though, but the inside of the first box would be all white with lightning, as if its the inside of the trap.
I would like the picture, a bonus DVD of stuff about the game, and a Slimer figure or something too.
And to the OP, you'd really need to tone that set down to get it under the easily $100, possibly $150 it would cost. Having the movies in the same set wouldn't work, as you would need to package several different versions of the game with different versions of the movie. Its just not plausible for mass production. I mean the movies are going to be available on both DVD and Blu-ray, and then the game is available on PS3, xBox 360, PS2, PC, Wii, and Nintendo DS… that's 14 different combinations that would need to be mass produced… that's far too many combinations. And also, why would you want a tin looking like the firehouse when that's what we're getting for the RGB DVD set. Wouldn't want to be confusing your DVD set with your game set all the time!

If I had the choice the special edition would be for the PS3 and Xbox 360 only because those are the realistic versions. $90 would be more than enough for the set because the photo, Slimer figure, and keychain shouldn't cost that much to make.
