Right, as one of my duties, I have to moderate over this forum. So, I feel we should compile a FAQ for Ghostbusters related deals. Here are a few things to start the ball rolling:

Where can I buy Ghostbusters merchandise?

Usually you can find a wide range of Ghostbusters merchandise on eBay www.ebay.com . However you will need to be a signed up member in order to participate, among the things seen on there at one point or another have been fan made props and production pictures. Now, prices can vary, so be watchful, some things could be a bargain, and somethings will be daylight robbery.

Is there an alternative to eBay?

Indeed there is, there's private deals, as seen in this forum where a person advertises or requests and item, and another person responds. However, you must bare in mind that unlike eBay, there's no anti-fraud system to work with if the seller stiffs you on the merchandise.

That's the first couple of questions. Here's a list of a few of the ‘true’ rare items, ‘Rare’ on ebay is so definitive these days, none-rare items get labeled as ‘Rare’.

Where can I buy episodes of Real Ghostbusters/Extreme Ghostbusters?

Some companies have brought Real/Extreme Ghostbusters episodes out on video, however these are not the complete series. There are VCDs that can have all the episodes on them, however bare in mind some DVD players can't play them, and that the visual and audio quality depends on the source of the episode and the encoding process. being able to buy all 140 episodes of the Real Ghostbusters is very rare, in most cases you can only get them like this as fan taped episodes, I've seen the od VCD set, but they're scarce.

Making Ghostbusters - Out of print and hard to aquire

Accurate props - due to the copyright problems, many packs will most likely not be 100% complete, plus there's the builder's skill to work with.

**WARNING**
I strongly advise you do not bid on prop auctions that don't carry photos, this could simply be a ruse, even if the seller is actually selling a prop, you won't be able to judge it's quality until it arrives.

Post Titles

Please, for users's reference, either include:

FOR SALE

or

TO BUY

in your titles to help show which things are for sale and things people are wanting to buy. Also, when the item has been sold, please include a ITEM(S) SOLD note in the title, and a reply stating what has been sold.

Yeash and I think he missed something: Post a picture if your selling something. And I CAN tell if it's a screenshot from a film or other site. Having the DARKbasic software deveoper really paid off… I can find the source code for the picture so don't try and fake it. (*peter)
