I've been playing the ZX Spectrum 128k version of the original game for ages on my Speccy Emulator, and soon to be (again after 20 years or so) on an original Speccy which I won on eBay.
However, I've always wanted to try the c64 version. I've had an emulator for years, but it's rubbish, so I downloaded WinVice upon recommendation of a friend. I'm still trying to figure out how to use it, but pretty much everything seems to work on it… except for Ghostbusters. I've downloaded a number of ROMs for the game, but get the same thing everytime, it loads and then just hangs on a screen with a load of gibberish symbols. I can't get any of them to run.
Anybody have any idea about this? I'm not sure what's going on here.
I do have the original c64 cassette of the game, but no instructions with it, so I'm not even sure if it's supposed to do this or not? :-(
