Maybe they're trying to appeal to all demographic groups.

I think they should swear, but I don't think it should be Preacher type swearing.

I never said yes and then no. I always said that the book would be geared towards a more mature audience, however that does not mean they will swear.

Swearing does'nt add anything to GB, but the guys are more “blue colar” type guys than heroes, so they will act and talk has “regular” guys doing a job no one wnats to do, or knows how to do it.

We got “mother puss bucket” in GB 1, expect the same type of swearing. Expect guys to smoke from time to time, eat late night snacks, etc.

This is an interssting question that raises a lot of interest. For example, there is no question about the fact that I am a big Transformers and G.I. Joe fan. I loved the cartoons back in the 80's, a lot of guns and fighting happened in these cartoons back then, so much that by today's standards we probably would not be able to have so much violence.

But then again, TF's and G.I. Joe had a lot of moral values “Now you know and knowing is half the battle”, but no swearing.

What makes me curious is that a lot of people are blaming the violent cartoons on today's real world violence. I used to watch these cartoons and Im not a violent person, far from it. But the key is they did not swear in them.

Today's action flicks have more cuss words in them than probably all of the 80's action flicks had. I may be wrong, my perception may not be 100% accurate, but in the end I choose to have no hard core “preacher” type swearing in GB, it does'nt ad anything.

Mmm, I'm not really a fan of swearing, so it should be used only when necessary - which is pretty much how it was in the movies anyway.

Sebastien, you're totally right. Cartoons get the blame becaue they're easier to blame then useless parents who let their kids see this stuff, but throw a hissy fit when they hear their kids speaking it.

That's partially the case for why RGB got canned due to supposed violence, if I remember correctly.
