Hey guys like I said I would be posting pics of my pack as I build it. Let me know what you think. It is mainly foam board but I am thinking about upgrading my paint from a flat black to a semi-gloss black because it seems as if the foam board is just soaking it up. Believe it our not the foam board is sturdy as hell.

Hey guys guess what. I finished my pack. Only thing is i USED 3/4“ rubber tubing instead of 3/4” split tubing. I will post pics soon. Also has solid lights. They dont blink or nothin but still a great addition to a pack. I still need to improvise an alice pack frame but I do have the military style straps. I also need to find out what I can but cheaply to mount the gun. Other then that, all the dirty work is done.

Not exactly cardboard, but I printed it off the computer. Nothing other than paper here, I meant to use card stock or photo paper, but I just did it like this to test. It's in the style of The Real Ghostbusters Proton Pack toy.

I've actually made changes to this. Tried to make it closer to the show. Also did a movie style version, which I haven't quiet test yet. Surprisingly, I didn't get that much interest as I thought I would.

You've convinced me that cardboard/foam board can look damn good! Any tips you can give after doing this? Great work!

One thing I can say is if you want some what of a shine to it then use semi gloss, not gloss. Another thing is try your best not to get messy with the hot glue gun. Also, I used the black foam board which was a mistake because it didnt look painted because the black surface of the foam board just soaked up the paint. That is why I went to a gloss. I will try it again with the white foam board some time. The white foam board has a slick texture and a glossy look and that should hold the flat black spray paint just well.
