Character Development

I searched and did not find a thread dedicated to this topic, so I’m sorry if I missed a similar post. I wanted to open up a discussion on what everyone liked or disliked about the character development in Ghostbusters: The Video Game.

Personally, I was very glad to see that Winston got a doctorate. I’ve read that this was added upon Bill Murray’s request, but I like to interpret it as Winston showing his dedication to the team and wanting to better himself as a Ghostbuster and colleague. I think that it shows Winston wants to contribute to the Ghostbusters’s research and scientific pursuits. Also regarding Winston, I didn’t like how he was hesitant to go rescue Peter on the Lost Island level. That felt out of character as Winston has always seemed concerned about his teammates and wouldn’t leave anyone behind. I think the opposite should have happened and Winston should have insisted they find Peter.

What do you think about what happened with all the characters?

Winston would always be a team player, but that doesn't mean he can't crack a joke or two. It is like a way to relieve tension.

All their characters matched their movie parts so well. To hell with people who say they didn't. The more I play the more I see Peter, Ray, Egon, and Winston back in the saddle.

Winston stays that “keep it real” attitude while still understanding the rest of the guys. Egon is still the brilliant scientist, Peter is still that know-it-all used car salesman with the “I do this for the fame and glory” type of deal, and Ray is still that excited kid at Christmas when it comes to this job.

I still do not think they sound tired due to their ages at all.
