Just a thought, I know I don't post too much, so I'm still probably considered a newb, but, I know it helps on my sites with the whole ‘getting to know each other’ thing…

A CBox. ShoutMix Chat. Chatango. Or the Chat Box that comes with VForums…I think that's the software this is on, but I could be wrong.

Just curious if it would be useful here. ^^

GBN has had a chat feature on two separate occasions but both times it's sort of fallen by the wayside. For that to happen twice it really doesn't seem to be all that integral a feature of the board… more of a gimmick, really.

^^ Ok, just figured I'd ask and see if anyone had considered it to be an option for those who would use it.
