Ludicrous you are 100% correct. The fact is (in my opinion) that Chris Farely completley idolized John Belushi. Hince John died of heroin overdose and so did Farely. I don't know maybe coincidence. Anyways Farely was a very versitile actor. Just think in Black Sheep even though it was mostly a comedy that involved him breaking stuff he did have a coulple of emmotional scenes that showed off his acting skills. The point is people wanted to see Farely playing the fat dumb guy. He could of played any role its just that is what the people wanted. He would of made a superb ghostbuster and it is too bad that he didn't have the chance too.

I gotta say that I agree with those of you that say Farley would've made a good (new) ghostbuster. Yeah, just about all of the characters he ever played dealt with physical comedy, but he was a very talented actor. And who are any of us to say that some of that physical comedy wouldn't work in the movie? None of us wrote the first two movies, so I think it would be best to leave it up to Akyroyd and Ramis. They wrote the first two films and and if the third is to be made, I'm have plenty of faith in those guys to do it right!

Plus Chris was a “chicagoan” which Murray and Belushi were/are and Dan became one after he moved from Canada.
