Am I the only one who feels like they wouldn't be doing production on CGI ghosts outside by the set, or that they also wouldn't be that far along yet?

I dunno. This still feels like a tremendous possibility to be fake to me. Nothing about this says Ghostbusters yet.

I'd also like to point out that nowhere on the site does it actually say the words “Ghostbusters” or “Ghostbusters III”. It just says “Yes they're shooting it” and that the guy is a crew member.

I officially call BS.

The font from the blog looks like the GB-one plus there's a “no-logo” and it's about ghosts…

Who shoots a scene for a movie and does CG on it at the same time, on the set, live?

Though the ghost does resemble something out of one of the RGB cartoons…

I concur about the CGI, if they had anything, it would usually be pretty low-tech… pre-visualisation stuff, rough 3D-models of the characters, often a rough bunch of blocks arranged to resemble a city block.

That model looks far too detailed to be pre-vis.


Like Dan, I say this is bogus.

Now, as for why anyone's assuming it's Ghostbusters 3 is because of the “Ghost Spy” logo, utilising the font and prohibition symbol, his ‘Ectospy’ Youtube name and the ‘GB3’ tag in his Youtube clips.


Bat, it's reminiscent of the boss ghost from Station Identification, where he made a Stay Puft body to protect himself out of stuff from his spectral Televisions.
