why would he need to find an ecto replica? thought he worked for the special effects department. You'd think the production company itself would have people to find this kind of thing…i work on and off in the media and i KNOW this! Plus they wouldn't even commision an effects team until the bulk of the filming has been done, it's not cost effective! Maybe it'll be another 150 page thread like the infamous “It's Coming!” thread. Or maybe it is just a legitimate hoax! Either way i don't trust him till the apple drops and my head is examined!

So maybe his “merger” is getting the occasional advert on Catch 22-produced productions or on their website or something.

Basically, it's all very low-league TV stuff…a student-led largely amateur production company. And consequently his big claims of it being a commercial venture endorsed by the creators of Ghostbusters is almost certainly complete or almost complete twaddle.

Yeah um, about them using my logo. I never said they could use my logo, and never said they couldn't. If it was for Charity, and we get a fan film out of it then great. I'm a happy go-lucky guy, what's mine is yours when it comes to Ghostbusters (just ask and give credit). But if this is going to put a bad name with Ghostbusters, then I don't really want to help them by letting them use my logo to gain such attention and ‘financial’ support from ‘investors’.

But my question is, how many ppl think they are using this “Ghostbusters 3” as a ‘catch-cry’ for grabbing in financial support, media attention, throwing about actor names that won't appear in it, just to get a big snowball thing going on, then bailing out giving nothing and taking everything?

I'm starting to think this will blemish my creation.

Yeah, I wouldn't put it past him. It's all very dodgy.

And 9sam1 - this ISN'T old stuff. Everyone suspected that he was telling tall tales but nobody had clarification of who the guy was or the truth behind his filmmaking ventures / past productions.
I think it's important to be aware of the facts when you've got someone asking Ghostbusters fans for money under false pretences.
