well sure, if you can be entertained by a movie about a guy rubbing two sticks together for 2 hours, then so be it.
but for me, if a movie lacks depth or any story and character development, then i for one can not be entertained. It needs to actually have some sense of artistic value to appeal to me, and not just some trash that was slapped together without any intention of being an authentic “film”. if a movie lacks any steam, i cannot watch it and i just sit there and cringe and point out all the faults of the movie.
now watching a bad movie to be entertained by the dreadfulness and quality of it, is a different story..
but ofcourse, Ghostbusters 3 will neither be an artistic film nor a b-movie, but without a doubt we'll have a very funny and decent script to keep us engaged and laughing.
