I know. It's the same with Indy 4. They just say that Lucas must not want it to happen. He just does not want to jeopardize the franchise if the script is not perfect.

Well Charlie's Angels was partly because him and Lucy Lui (misspelled) apparently hate each other with a passion. I'm not sure about Diaz or Barrymore though, so no comment.

I find it hard to beleive Bill Murray is up in a big castle somewhere with lightning crashing through the sky going “Mwah ha ha ha, those foolish Ghostbusters fans will never get a third movie ha ha ha ha. And it is all my doing”. He's not the devil people, I think people seem to forget that despite being a very succesful actor he is still a human being. Maybe he just isn't that interested in doing another wacky comedy, he's already proven himself as a highly talented dramatic actor in films such as Lost in Translation and maybe he wants to continue on that path. I don't think Bill hates Ghostbusters, I think he's just scared that it may go the way of the Jaws, look at Jaws 1; an amazing film by any standard, Jaws 2; patchier but still a lot of fun. Kind of mirrors Ghostbusters don't you think….Jaws 3 however is really poor and Jaws The Revenge is disgusting. Bill is just scared of people using the Ghostbusters name and turning it into a another franchise that goes with a fizzle instead of a bang. He doesn't owe Ghostbusters fans anything, in all truth we owe him for giving us such unforgettable entertainment. As for Bill Murray acting like a prick on set all I heard was that he had an arguement with Lucy Liu on the set of Charlie's Angels. That's fine in my opinion, how many times have one of you got in a arguement with someone which resorted in pointless name calling or a fist fight, admit it we all have and our enemies have probably gone away calling us stuff and telling people how bad we are; what I'm trying to say is just because he's famous having an arguement with someone is suddenly a big deal when really we should be going “Bill Murray had an arguement with someone and people now don't like him…really? really!? Really!??! Who cares!”

I agree with you for the most part but I still think the 2nd Ghostbuster's still as good as the first. Jaws definately had a bad drop, though. But I dunno, Ghostbusters stands out as one of the few that's had a really good sequel. I know alot of people hate it (which is insane to me) but it stands up next to its predecessor. Much like Empire Strikes Back. There are lots of good sequels in a sea of awful ones. Addams Family Values, one of my favorites as well. We can go on…

What do you mean by that? I thought Jaws 2 was great. A great sequel. Part 3 & 4 is what I didn't like. Now those to me were bad drops. Not the the second.

what happens to the rights to the Ghostbusters franchise after Bill Murray after he passes away?
do they go to sony, another one of the Ghostbusters, or can he put the rights to someone in his will?
