hello hello im new here but i've been reading on these message boards for a few months now
the thing i dont like about the ray cover
is that it looks like the ecto goggles are at the very top of his head
where usually it should be closer to the forehead
but the artist must have done that so we can see the hair more
the hair looks like ray straight out of the movie, but then the eyes give him like a crackhead look
in the other pictures of the comic i've seen, the goggles look smaller
than these goggles look like
but hey ray's the man (*ray)

They just keep getting better and better. Hopefully Spengs' cover isn't too far away.

Yes Dan Brereton did the painted cover in homage to the dream sequence of the movie
His idea and a great one.
The regular cover is actually slime. This is to introduce the notion that there is different colors of slime. It's nothing new actually. in GB1 it was was light green, almost white ( in the library basement ), then in GB 2 it was pink. Now we got blue.
The notion is that ghosts have different PKE “frequency resonance”, different frequencies means different colors or slime, for those who actually are slimer's class type of ghosts.

The regular cover is pretty cool, I like the idea of blue slime. I'm still not caring for the painted cover. What happened to the art like the slimer teaser pic?

Does anyone have the issue summary from Previews yet??? BTW, very cool covers, although Ray's chin does looks somewhat odd.

Painted covers are very special. The comic industry does'nt have that many, either be DC, Marvel, Dark Horse. Sure some cover are done in a painted style, but these GB covers are actually painted on canvas.
Paintings also have that inspirationnal look. That's why you see a lot of expression in them.
Again I must stress the fact that the GB guys are not heroes, simple foes put in extraordinary situations. Therefore super heroic types of covers and poses would not fit the genre.
