Unfortunately, people like Devil and Jeff, and to some extent Drew, are making it harder for a possible resolution to this dispute - as they are only provoking ill will between all parties, preventing dialog that could lead to all agrievances being addressed.

On the last episode of Ghostheads the Podcast, you did a nice little Rush Limbaugh satire criticizing our show and making fun of us for being Canadian… If I check the chronology, that happened BEFORE we made our last episode of CTS. Did we whine about it, attack you on your threads and demand that you be banned from the boards? No. Instead, we did exactly what you did, make satires of popular commericials/shows and “roasted” your show… We had alternate skits all planned for that episode, it wasn't until AFTER we heard your show that we wrote the Christian Children's Fund spoof/got serious about making the Ipod one. We didn't make fun of you personally or take any cruel jabs at your expense. You on the other hand, chose to make fun of us based on our nationality…

On another less serious note, it's funny that you threaten sending a cease and dissist notice in regards to the picture… You freely posted the picture we used on a public forum and there is nothing about it that was libelous or defamatory so I don't really see what your grounds would be for taking such action… It was a picture with a plain background and Brendan with his arm around your shoulder… We didn't paint a Hitler moustache on your lip or give you devil horns or alter your photo in any other way… So unless you are insecure about your personal appearance, grow up. If you want to have a pissing match about who can talk the most lawyerly, take it someplace else. I have no time for people who go to such extents to put on aires…

What is also ironic is that I originally wrote a disclaimer for that commercial which said something like “we asked Ron if he would do this commercial with us, and after repeated attempts, all we got was this cease and disist notice…” I guess it proves that the truly stinging satires/parodies require a high level of accuracy and realism…

Lastly, I don't even know who Devil and Jeff are, so I don't know why you are lumping me with them. Since I joined GBfans (about a month ago) people have been tieing me with the people I associate with… After it became well known that I was friends with Brendan, suddenly I have been accused of being a spy for Bo and provoking “ill will between all parties”… I haven't been involved in all this petty BS for the past 5 years so I really resent being painted with a common brush when I finally came back. Brendan has been on my MSN for 7 years and we would occaisionally talk. He was the whole reason I joined GBfans a month ago and why I helped him write/think up ideas for his show… So to assume that I have some kind of agenda to further a personal gripe with you or other people over at GBfans is ludicrious… I don't know you and I don't have any issue with you… I do, however, enjoy writing satires of shows/hosts that fired the first shot against my friend…

Odd that Spooky can't ban people. I find it interesting that you can dictate what you got banned for. Despite the fact you had been warned in the chat several times before, kicked from the chat several times before, as well as I having posted the exact reason you were banned here.

And to be specific, I called you Canadians - I guess you are taking that as an insult? You should be more concerned I called you a Communist or a Liberal, which has nothing to do with your nationality. But wait, if you listen closely I was talking about Brenden. Actually if you check your webhost's Terms of Use policy, most likely they have a clause that prohibits the use of one's image without their expressed persmission. It's a pretty standard thing for hosts, I'm not sure who you guys use but look it up.

Perhaps if you reread my original reply, you would see I am trying to find a resolution to this situation that would culiminate in both of you being unbanned. You are making this difficult by egging this thread on. (See your first post) I never declared you had an agenda, perhaps you do I honestly don't know. First of all, it is good to see Ron and Brendan talking again. This is what I was hoping for.

Kingpin, I don't think you are abusing your powers, per se. I just think that we should give CTS another chance. I'm hoping they focus on their talents next episode and drop the silly infighting within the community.

The thesis is this. As a global community of Ghostbusters fans, we must come together. It is incredibly pointless and damaging to focus our energy tearing each other apart when the franchise is attracting the most attention since Ghostbusters II, 20 years ago!

Your crew attacks on the message boards, then if they fight back, you(or one of your crew) ban them. Thats not cool. It's making it hard for people to not start flaming and bashing GBFans. Your telling me I'm Thin Skinned, well you either lack awareness or your a complete jerk. If you want people to respect your message board, wiki, whatever you describe your place is; your going to have to deal with people more respectfully in your forum, and in other forums.

Chad has it right however, can we all atleast start by agreeing that we all enjoy atleast some aspects of Ghostbusters. Lets find a way to sort things out. I do want that most.

I think that's an unfair statement. Kingpin has been a long-standing member of the community and he is a very important part of the GBN mod team. Bo has been banned several times and while I do admit that people have a chip on their shoulder when it comes to Bo after he is let in, he has earned the scrutiny.

It all comes down to respect. We don't all have to hold hands and be best friends. At the same time, infighting and petty squabbles are foolish. Let's look at the bigger picture.

Anyway, while I think this has been helpful and therapeutic to some degree, let's really get back on topic. If you guys wish to discuss this other stuff further, I encourage you to start a separate thread.
