If you watch the video below it has great game play footage and you can really see what the game is going to be like. Here's the thing thou when you watch it at about 3:30 I swear that I see the streams being crossed by the new guy and I think venkman but I don't see anything happen. Am I right or am I just seeing things.

I noticed that too, but I think they need to cross the streams for a while to make the TOTAL PROTONIC REVERSAL work… not only a “zap”.

Doubtful they're crossing the streams (deliberately), given how the developers added so much emphasis to the issue only to then spoil it by showing it in one of the video previews. I suspect there's a certain amount of leeway simply because of the way the characters interact before there's a definitive ‘crossing of the streams’.

The way they crossed the streams in the film was more like “combining” the streams. Maybe that's how it is here.

i think that was just some thing to make the game more playable. if the game was so picky to say ‘game over’ every time a stream bumped into some one elses, you'd pull your hair out. the game still looks awsome never the less. theres no more relaxing sound, than a proton pack igniting!

I noticed that but I agree that if anything does happen, it will take a lot longer for anything sort of explosion to happen or something. something I noticed was the difference between the original stay puft battle and the new one. in the old one, the marshmallow minions were different and, more importantly, you were fighting stay puft while hanging off the side of the building. is the battle with stay puft on ps3 different from the Xbox360 version?

Well, you only really saw the very beginning of the boss fight in the new video. I think you probably still end up rappelling over the side at some point.
However, I wonder if you begin the level down in the street or already inside the building? Hmm… (*egon)

I think it's safe to say you start on the street as Stay Puft is intact when you're approaching him on street level.
