How long are the sides supposed to be? Where does it get screwed onto. I think its on the spacer, but how far up or down? Anyone got any side pics of their packs they could post?

They have so many detailed plans and pictures you're eyeballs will explode. Half of GBProps.com is under construction or “coming soon”, any time I click on just about anything that isnt the forums or plans, that's what I get. I am looking at 3 different plans, all from that site too, and none answer the question I am asking. Also, I have posted the same exact question on 3 message boards, GBprops included, and so far yours is the only response I've gotten, which is less than helpful and again, doesnt answer my question.
I will agree with you that posting it here feels pointless, and Ill go ahead and add GBprops to that list and proptopia. I am becoming very disheartened with the 3 GB boards I've found so far…

The sides are about 6 inches long (don't forget they are rounded though so about 5 inches of it is straight). It get's screwed into the spacer, and as far as placement of the screws I used the pics on gbprops then eyeballed it. In this gallery you can see the side of the bumper and where the screws are:

Keep in mind there is another set of screws on the other side too.

Well mate, all I can say is, have some patience. You posted on the gbprops forums a DAY ago. Try waiting a few weeks before you get impatient. This isn't exactly the busiest season for prop building; that would be in the months leading up to Halloween. Besides, the prop archive is supposed to be back up later this month - thats pretty soon. I'd answer you're question, except I've never built a proton pack. If its really that urgent, just approximate the measurements or something. There are enough plans & diagrams over there right now that I should think you'd be able to make an educated guess at least…

…By the way, you shouldn't be “disheartened” with the message boards just because they haven't answered you're question so quickly. No one's getting paid to help you, or anyone else, it's completely voluntary. This is a great community. You should be thankful we even have it. 15 years ago building decent GB equipment was damn near impossible! So yeah, thats my mini-rant. Good luck with the pack.
