I couldn't really find anything on Radio Shack, but I did find this link in the Props section of ghostbusters.net. Here's the link http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?category=search&item=AEC&type=store

There is a guy that sells a LED set-up that is for Proton Packs. He has them ready to install into your pack, it includes the Blue Lightbar and the Cyclotron… http://www.hyperdynelabs.com/gb.htm

You can also buy a sound kit from him too… but it's really exspensive. I'm working on my own for around $40… but that won't be for a while.

The cyclotron light circuit can be accomplished by using a 555/4011 and a 4017 chip, and then setting the reset as the 5th light.

If you didn't understand that, buy 4 red LEDs.. and just forget about them rotating.

I found a hole drill bit at Lowe's. The bit itself was $7+ and the special adapter for it was $15+. The adapter however was too big for my drill and I had to borrow a bigger one (drill). The holes came out beautifully. smile I also found 1“ washers in their ”special fastener“ section ($0.59 ea.) The inner hole is actually 1-1/8” and the outside is 2" (not exactly the right size but pretty close.)
