I just received a text from a friend who said there was a promo on TV for the video game and it ended with something saying that all four would be returning for a second ghostbusters sequel in 2012? Has anything become official yet finally? probably nothing, hoping I can find this video on YouTube at least.

I just hope they don't do a Extreme Ghostbusters kind of thing with punk emo kids that most don't care about the business itself. By business I mean interested in the Paranormal.

As much as I like Extreme Ghostbusters, the kids were…..dull.

I agree….I actually hated Extreme Ghostbusters….I just plain annoyed me….

The dream of a new Ghostbusters movie is basically Ghost-busted, if you listen to Dan Aykroyd. "(Director) Ivan Reitman has the best quote about it, and that is, 'It's just all talk until you have a production number,' “ Aykroyd said when asked about the current state of the long-rumoured project. ”So it's just all talk now. "Until we have a script and a production number, the only thing carrying it is my enthusiasm." Aykroyd, of course, was one of the stars of the original 1984 Ghostbusters movie, which also featured Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts. Ghostbusters was a huge commercial success, and it spawned a sequel, Ghostbusters II, in 1989. A third instalment has fit snugly into the “on-again, off-again” category for years. But Aykroyd said he is the only key player who still is really intrigued by the possibility. “And I'm afraid that's not enough to get a movie going,” Aykroyd said.

well the script hasnt been turned in yet, so everyones like ‘i wanna do it, but…we dont have anything.’ lol.

Harold Ramis seems to have been reading over it, and seems confident with it. so hopefully we'll hear something new by next month.

Thank god I am not the only one that hated EGB (*peter)… the best episode was when the originals returned ! I think it was a 2 part ep. This is my reasoning behind being worried about GB3…

Just as long as number 3 doesn't smack of any Blues Brothers 2000 type characters or liken to Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as far as sequels and cgi go we should be fine

And steer way clear of that Extreme Ghostbusters being politically correct for the sake of being politically correct crap. That cartoon really did suck from a main character point of view

Even if the main principal actors from the blockbuster hits of the first two films aren't willing, they can do the intro that they left the business (maybe for health or mental reasons) and Dan is the only member of the original cast left and they take on some new members again like Winston/Ernie. Perhaps this time Dan is approached by MIB and you have him debriefing Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.(*winston)
