Sorry kingpin,

what annoyed the whole idea of him doing it in the first place, he said that Music sounded nothing like him, and yet he went on to voice the movies

Well Music didn't really sound like Murray, a lot of people agree with that. But he was still a great Venkman. I don't get what that has to do with anything though, Murray voicing Garfield later on is just coincidence. He was offered it, and he took it.

I really didn't care for Dave at all. He just didn't sound right. I couldn't care less that Lorenzo didn't sound like Bill. Lorenzo was great as Peter. Of Course I don't like most of seasons 5-7.

I always though Lorenzo was a fantastic Venkman. I didn't hate when Coulier stepped in, but I did feel that they really toned down the character. I still love the whole irony of Murray doing Garfield.

For those who have seen the redubbed Season 1 episodes: what were Coulier's performances like in those? That's would be a good way to determine just how much blame of Peter's late-season decline was Coulier's, and how much the networks….

When they re-aired season 1 on after the cast changed, the voices were re-dubbed with Dave and Kath Soucie (Janine's replacement because the network thought it was a good idea to dumb her character down). They most likely wanted to keep everything in continuity with the current cast, hence the re-dub, since both of them sound drastically different

Spookcentral has a few audio clips of the original and redub. Can't find much of Venkman though, but its probably there.
