I was thinking about the whole Dave Coulier and Lorenzo Music issue but I was wondering one simple question and that is this. If They started with Dave at the beginning would we be having any problem any problem with Him probably not! Don't get Me wrong I do like Musics work but I just think He doesn't deserve the grief He gets cause in all Honesty He did sound more like Murray then Music in my opinion.

I'll just put it to you this way, it's about the direction the show was heading, not the voice actors. I can't believe how much people blame Dave and Kath for the direction. Seriously, they only read the scripts people!

That's the problem. Dave Coulier was brought on to do a Bill Murray-impression. Lorenzo Music was hired because he fit the character.

Not to mention it was unneccesary seeing as the other characters didn't really sound like their film counterparts.

When you capitalize “He” with every time you mention Uncle Joey, that's the equivilent of when Christians capitalize the h in “He” whenever they talk about God. So in essence… Dave Coulier is God.

Don't expect that to make much sense, I'm coming down from drinking.

I'll probably always be among the fans who think Lorenzo was the better Venkman, the dry wit was just perfect. But, I have to admit that Dave didn't really bother me at first other than it was a change in actor. It was later when they began to write Peter as more and more obnoxious and Dave began to really overact many of his lines, that he started to make me cringe a little.

Joey wasn't the unkle, he was the best friend to Danny Tanner.

I never knew he did the voice for Peter Vankman though……..what episode did he start?

Baby Spookums. As Fritz summed it up, when first heard he thought it was a “bad Bill Murray impression”

He was referred to as “Uncle Joey” in the show though… just like lots of people have “uncles” and “aunts” that aren't blood relatives.

And yea, bad Bill Murray impression, but I agree… it was the direction of the show, not Dave Coulier that people should've been upset with.
