If a demo is released, it'd probably be the first level with Slimer seeing as that's designed as a training level… it means they can give out a taster without actually spoiling any of the game's plot.

Thats what I'm hoping for, a demo of the hotel with Slimer, since yeah, thats the training mission, and of course, the very first bust in the movie, classic.

At first thought i assumed they would be giving us a demo, especialy through live and PC, however after further consideration and realization i have come to the conclusion that if we do in fact get a demo it will probably be released around the time the game is meaning at release or shortly thereafter. I'm not going to get in a knee deep convo about working in the industry but IMO they aren't going to need to hype this as much as say a new IP from an unknown developer. Im sure there are plenty of gamers here who know what I'm talking about. You dont see demos for sure fires ie Halo 3, GTA 4 and the likes so while a demo would be INSANE you might just end up getting your paranormal fix when the game is released….but look on the bright side, there could be no game being released let alone the big boys working on it.

halo 3 had a beta release with crackdown, which could be considered a demo.

Halo 3 multiplayer beta wasn't really sucessfull was it. I heard many complaints abouts its not even be ready “out the box”. Let me ask you this, if there was no beta would it have mattered?

That's the thing. A beta is not the final product. It's a work in progress, so the final game would most likely be very different. I mean, look at some of the screen shots for other games. You'll notice a lot of differences, like how the life bar is displayed. Heck, the images on the box are sometimes from the beta game lol.

What I forgot to take in account was that the cast is still working on the recording sessions. I'm sure thats all that they really have left to do but polishing the game. I would love to see the demo because I dont really have any patience for this release!

I don't either, but you can't really do much about it except wait it out. (;_

Absolutely not - I don't want to crush any dreams, but I don't want anyone living with false hopes for the next ten months either. The game still isn't even feature complete at this point, let alone ready for final sound and polish.
