From one of the articles printed in the UK at the time the review was written, only 20% of the game had been completed.

Hey, it's still not due for a while. 20% so far isn't too bad. Hopefully we don't get the release date pushed back.

That's the thing. A beta is not the final product. It's a work in progress, so the final game would most likely be very different. I mean, look at some of the screen shots for other games. You'll notice a lot of differences, like how the life bar is displayed. Heck, the images on the box are sometimes from the beta game lol.

Man, i'm from the age of ST Format and Zero magazine - Demos usually were unfinished previews in 1991! If times have changed then i apologise for getting confused!

That's at the time they were previewing it for the press, which they then had to sit on for months, so I would guess that they're at about the 50% mark by now.

I realise that, as I mentioned “at the time the review was written”, but I realise that sentence came out a little unweildy, and the point didn't work quite right.

Well the wait is killing all of us I'm sure, but when you think about it we have been waiting for Ghostbuster 3 for about 18 years (since the second one was made) and now we finally have something that is solid to be a substitute. So ten months verses another 18 years, I will take the ten any day.

Just dont hope they end up pushing back the date.

idk if they will push back the date. IF they do, i doubt we will get it any later then next summer (2009) which marks the 25th anaversary (sp) of the movie. So, at the latests we will get it is summer 2009.

as for a demo. Without a doubt, not before e3 or comic con, which is in july. Its march. 4 months at least. I know, long time, but look at all the other stuff we have to look foward to in the mean time. Indy, Iron Man, batman, hulk, GTA 4, Metal Gear solid 4,

(this year is the year of 4, now that i think about it)

Maybe now with E3 and the comic con over, the demo will be released on xbox live, pc and the ps3 download thing. I'd have no problem playing the library level over and over until October. I did that with the Swat3 game.
