Demo Release Date?

I have seen Demos pop up on XBL on Thursdays, Fridays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

I think the demo should of come out some time ago.

I mean my copy of the game will be with me in under 2 weeks, so I have no real intrest in playing the demo now, if they had a demo out a month before the game then I would of downloaded it. No point in getting in to the demo and then having to wait for the retail to continue and spoiling it for you.

I honestly don't think there's going to be any demo at this point. It could have easily gotten quashed in the changing of hands with Atari. The demo's that were at the shows could have easily been just that. Show demo's. I think all the extra time for the game was great. However, I think Atari fubared the entire advertising/marketing part of this release.

A slew ton of videos on the internet, no TV commercials and allowing game sites to play through the entire thing on camera on top of an incredibly late, if even ever released demo. That's just plain irresponsible.

The demo itself is not late actually. While it is true that some games release demos perhaps one month before release, but those are usually saved for big named games like RE5.

Demos are usually supposed to come out a week before the game is release to allow people to see it and play it and experience it, but no too early to lose interest before the game even started.

It's all strategic. As for videos of game play, things get leaked now and then. Happens even to the best of developers.

It's been said time and time again that demo is not aimed at us… Most people on this board are buying this day 1 no questions asked. The demo is for the people that are on the fence, so releasing it anytime before or even within a week of release makes sense. Now as to why there is absolutely no promo content on XBox live (videos, screens, themes/pics) THAT really doesn't make sense.
