I got a reply. But it's just “meh”. I'll send a follow up email a little later tonight or tomorrow, if I don't hear back again sooner. Here's what they sent me (and this came from my 2nd contact on the East coast, still waiting on the West coast one I met last night):

“Hey there- I believe its sometime next week- but will let you know for sure.
Thanks again!”

Well either way buddy…the game is coming…and the demo is also coming…it´s just frustrating that they wont give us a release date on that demo….I mean …GIVE US SOMETHING TO BLAST A PROTON BEAM AT!!

If it is next week I guess we are looking at Monday the 8th because its the 25th anniversary of the release of the movie or Thursday the 11th because that's when PSN and Xbox Live usually get updated.

Since there's no concrete idea about when (or even IF at this point) a demo will be out, why not use some of your current games to create a vague Ghostbusting-esque experience?

I've been doing this with Saints Row 2 for the past week. It started out with trying to find a car that I could make look like Ecto-1, and evolved into a fun, tricky side mission that can be enjoyed by all!

I'm going with Jay on this one.

I'm not going to heavly expect a demo just because a date was specified: Doesn't mean it's true.

*Stares at the story I explained earlier.*

This is really getting kind of frustrating and disappointing. Where's all the advertising for the game? No demo. No TV spots (at least not that I've seen). All they're doing is giving everyone BUT THE FANS a beta copy of the game to review. And they reviews, while mostly pretty good, don't seem to be pushing the game much.
