Depth wise - How long should the pack be?

ok, you got your length, width & depth. im worried that my pack (currently being re-designed) isnt up to speck on the depth issue, how far should it sick out from your back? thanks.

As long as you need it to be perhaps? It may look incorrect but thats the way mine will have to be. Long Story -.-

As long as the pack fits you, you should be fine. Besides, who said you have to make an exact duplicate? Sometimes you should add your own personal touches to make your equipment more unique.
