Did anyone else get the phone call from gamestop?

My heart sank when I got it today, informing me acitivision had cancelled ghostbusters …discuss.

A lot of people have. But the game isn't cancelled. The game's still alive and kicking, and simply looking for a new home.

i got it and the guy at gamestop said that it was looking for a new publisher and would most likely come out around the 25th ann.

I got a call from EB Games here in Australia saying the same thing. They didnt have much information about it though. i've been kinda bummed since i found out to mate.

Didn't preorder it yet. Good thing I didn't because “the call” would've set me back a bit. What I find disheartening though is that Gamestop employees on other video game boards insisting that because they had to pull the game from their shelves that it is canceled indefinitely. Completely abrupt on their part if you ask me since the news of Activision not publishing the game is not new news at all. It seems as though Gamestop got the news a little late and are acting on what we have already known for a couple of weeks now.

As with all of you, I am hoping that another publisher picks up this game ASAP. Hoping for the best.

yeah I walked in and asked when the game was being released and they told me that it was canceled I then explain that it wasn't any why and stunned them when I was pretty much able to tell them what the email said without see it.

On a similar note, a lot of people I know have already canceled whatever games they pre-ordered that Activison has published such as Guitar Hero World Tour and Call of Duty: World at War. I mean, like flat out went to the store they pre-ordered it from and took it off the pre-order. I can only hope more people are doing the same.
