In the PS2/Wii version of the game, on Peter's desk in the firehouse are the Zenner cards and the shock machine that he used in his “test” at the start of the first movie.

Also in the Times Square building during the battle with StayPuft there are several posters for a game Fungus dudes, an injoke the game Mushroom Men also developed by Red Fly Studios.

Heh. Fungus Dudes looked more like Super Mario Bros. to me. Either could apply.

Q*Bert was originally done by Gottlieb in the arcades, then Parker Bros. back in the day. Then Konami/Ultra for the NES. Atari did do an update for the Playstation 1. Who owns it now is anyone's guess (maybe Atari)?

Q*Bert is owned by Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc. That's what the copyright info says at the bottom of the ad for it on the back of the manual for The Next Tetris (1999, PC). The Next Tetris, coincidentally (or not), was released by Atari back when Hasbro Interactive owned it.

Anyone who knows their old school gaming will know that's a NES box art design and the little guy is doing the Mario pose from Super Mario Bros.

But also a nice nod to Mushroom Men, as someone else said.

Yep, that definitly has to be a Mario reference for the Wii version, GhostbusterMan up there got a shot of it.
