Die Hard 4.0

I'm a massive Die Hard fan. I love this series just as much as I do Ghostbusters. I'm preying this is gonna be on par with it's predecessors. Even if it's as good as die hard 2 which is widely redarded as the weakest of the series I'll be delighted as I personally thought die hard 2 was great.

Im not too excited for this, i was untill i saw the trailer, if i didnt see Bruce Willis in the trailer, i would of thought i was watching the trailer for Transporter 3. a mindless action movie. its great to see Maclaine back, but without a decent script or director, its nothing. hopefully Bruce will give some good lines, but just hope we'll hear ‘yippie kye aye’ one last time.

if there gonna make a 4th installments to any franchise, gimme Evil Dead. that and the other great action-hero, Indy, which is in development, which i have faith in, since Ford, Lucas, and Speilberg are all involved.

Let's hope the rumours are true, and Sam does make a fourth. Although there is talks of a remake of the original? Eww.

Back on topic, I'm excited for the new “Live Free or Die Hard” movie, should be cool. I loved the other three, although I'll have to catch up on the second one, a little hazy there.

And what's with changing the name for the fourth, fifth and sometimes sixth instalments? Is that the trend these days? Will the next Indiana Jones movie will be called Dr Jones? If another Aliens was done, will it be named “Alien Encounters”?

Die Hard 4 would have been great.

It's just been rated PG13. Most people are complaining. Personally I don't think it matters. I think this is still gonna be a great film.

again, as my fellow Gh0stbuster would say, if it is PG-13 then it won't be “Die Hard” but “Die Soft” lol :p

My real concern is that they're digging all of these franchises out of nearly 20 year retirements.

Rocky, Rambo, Die Hard…. I always wanted more Indiana Jones, but I think the sight of an ancient Indy is going to shatter one of my childhood illusions the way the Star Wars prequels did.

I may be acting like a crabby old coot, but has Hollywood just run that badly out of ideas?

Hollywood is begining to run out of ideas. All of the most original ideas and concepts were used up through the eighties and early nineties.

This is why we're seeing so many sequels, prequels, remakes, films based on books, comics, games, tv shows and cartoons, it's because there don't seem to be any original ideas left.

As opposed to seeing Ackroyd, Murray, and Ramis lumber across the screen? :p
