During the audio commentary on the GB DVD, Harold sure seemed to get a kick out of it. From what Dan says, he still really enjoys the movies. But, the other guys, well…they haven't been as open about GB as Dan and Harold.

As far a Bill Murray goes, do you think that he still gets a kick out of the Ghostbusters serials? Amoung his other films (caddyshack, groundhog day, osmosis jones)?

I read an interview on IGN with Ernie Hudson (not too recent, but not too old either…from 1999 i think) and he seems to be proud of being a Ghostbuster. I think he was talking about how he still gets people going up to him asking for his autograph, remembering him as Winston.

There was an HBO “Behind the Scenes” special about Murray's movie “Operation Dumbo Drop.” The very first scene is Murray in his living room (wearing a fez and robe, if memory serves), watching himself on TV and laughing loudly. He has a pet cat or dog with him, I forget which, and he makes comments to it like “Now THAT is when I was funny,” etc. Finally you see what is playing on the TV and it's Ghostbusters.

The rest of the special deals with Murray traveling around, trying (without success), to collect praise, approval, and finally just awareness for “Dumbo Drop.” At the end, he returns, dejected, to his living room, and what does he flip on to cheer him up again? Ghostbusters. I wonder how closely that sketch hit close to home…
