One of the things I hope they don't do in a potential third Ghostbusters movie is change or try to update classic props from thhe original films, like the Ecto-1, proton packs, or the flight suits. One of the things I never liked about the Extreme Ghostbusters was the change in the proton pack and the ghost traps. Maybe it's because when I was a kid my parents actually bought me the Extreme GB proton pack and trap toys and they kinda sucked, but even before that I never liked the change. Funny I have fonder memories of the Real GB proton pack and trap play sets, even though they were a lot more… primitive I guess would be the right word. I loved that blue hollowed out piece of plastic with the proton gun that made that funny noise. Ah memories. Anywho, I believe Harold Ramis even mentioned in that interview from a month ago or so that part of what makes Ghostbusters so great is the sort of lack of technology they have. Granted a proton pack is obviously a high tech piece of equipment, but it's not very polished and kind of seems like it's made of lots of recycled pieces, and the same goes for the firehouse or the Ecto-1. So hopefully he stays true to that. People's thoughts?
