Dont cross the Streams

why is it on the game its said countless times dont cross the streams but you do anyways ??

When it happens in game it isn't proper crossing of the streams… and they tell you not to do it because of what happened at the end of the first film.

And this should've been posted in the videogame forum.

Its a reference back to the first movie… And its viable that it might work in the situation that you're in. Especially since you're in that other world… If you're not going to get back anyway, might as well try crossing the streams to save the world again.

Its always said to not cross the streams, because the chances of it working in your favor are still very slim. Its only used as a last resort.

you cant really have the game without it, and isnt it said in the game egons done something to the packs the reduce the explosion, hence only getting knocked backwards

I love to cross the streams… it also unlocks the “Total Protonic Reversal” achievement on XBox 360.

Something like that. He added some kind of safety inhibitor that forbids true crossing of the streams.

Instead of destroying life as we know it, it just send a shock wave back and pushes away. Stings like hell, but not life threatening.

It is annoying how your proton beam can only last so long before you cross the streams. It's especially annoying when the overheating alarm goes off in the middle of wrangling a ghost.
