Apparrently the new game is ghostbusters III I was looking on sites that had info on the game and they list it as Ghostbusters (3) : The video game. So think of it this way… the game is a fully interactive GB3. XD

Dan has been saying that the Video Game is Ghostbusters 3 throughout the entire development process so this is really nothing new.

However with the advent of the possibility of a new movie that may change to Ghostbusters 2.5

Well ya see kitten. There are things in this world that go way beyond human understanding, things that cannot be explained, things that most people don't wan't to know about…that is where TR comes in.

The idea of GB3 goes all the way back to the mid ‘90s, but due to budget concerns, and Bill Murray’s “schedual”, a movie never materialized. Now fast forward to 2006-07, when TR approched Dan about the idea of making a new GB video game, and since no movie was made, it seemed like a good fit (especially for the chance to, introduce a new, younger generation to GB), so they used some of the elements from the original GB 3 script, and added a few extras (i.e. the rookie), and BAM! GB:TVG/GB 3. Dan was even quoted as saying that “the third movie, may be a ”sequel“ to the game”, so we'll see what happens.(*peter)

Ya, thats how I am seeing it too. But it depends really if a next movie does indeed get made. If not then it is GB3 to me.
