Just released is a new collectors edition of doom. It contains DooM, DooM2, Final DooM, and some other crap. I believe it retails for $20, so if you haven't played the father of 3D shooters, I suggest picking this up.

Wolfenstein is the Granddaddy, doom is more like the father and put all the others in the right direction. But true, it isn't the first.
