Drag Me To Hell

Go and see it if you haven't already. Good enough to convine you that Ashley J. Williams may turn up at any point. He doesn't, but it's as close to Evil Dead 2 in feeling as Raimi gets.

Trust me, you'll laugh like an idiot!

So it is a horror comedy? The trailer made it look like a straight up horror flick, which isn't Raimi's bag at all. I'm not a huge fan of the evil dead series, I like them fine, but I'm not a fan boy by any means. But Since I've already seen Terminator Salvation, Star Trek and Night at the Museum 2 (with the girlfriend ) the movie choice this Saturday is between Angels and Demons or Drag me to Hell… No contest I think.

And since we are recommending horror movies Quarantine (2008) I feel is the most underrated and largely ignored horror/zombie film of the 2000's! So I've been habitually recommending it to people nonstop since it's release. So check it out! Once you get past the annoying sharp kneed Jennifer Carpenter, this movie is full of win.

Good to hear. Word was that it was kind of a horror/comedy film, and you can actually tell a bit from the newest trailer.

My sis and I are both big Evil Dead fans so we're going to see this as soon as summer begins for her. I was secretly hoping that Bruce put in a cameo or something, that's always a treat, and made Spider-Man 3 bearable for me.

I just got back from seeing it, and I was disappointed overall. The ending was predictable, and a lot running gags that tend to repeat itself over and over again. The acting was pretty dull, and the whole thing felt like a B-movie from the 80s with a higher budget. Not that there is anything wrong with B-Movies, but this film just didn't jump to me. Nothing was very scary, at least to me. Practically everything was done with the “shock factor” meaning a few seconds of silence then boom, monster or whatever is right in your face.

I'm sure there are people who disagree with me, but I didn't think it was as good as the reviews say.

Came here to pretty much say this… was probably still better than Angels and Demons though.

Went to go see this and Land of the Lost Friday. Drag Me to Hell was definitely the better of the two. I was really quite surprised. The previews made it out to be a straight up horror movie but it actually had several really funny parts. It is good to see Sam Raimi has not lost his touch at all. I think the only thing missing from the movie was a cameo by Bruce.

I saw the movie last Monday, I thought it was fantastic. Any ideas when the Region 2 DVD is out?
