You make it sound like a sudden, new, radical concept.

How many remakes have been made where the cast have little to do with the original characters they were based on?


I guess I just don't feel for this like some other films because Fright Night never left that cult sort of vibe in me.

Vampire movies have been out of vouge for a long time, dreamworks are probably just picking up the title so nobody else can make it. They also purchased the rights for spawn 2 about a decade ago, I didn't see that clawing up the box offices.

Actually there has been some talk about another Spawn movie the last couple of months. But this has more to do with the reboot crazy (if you catch my drift) than a sequel or remake.

The only reason I'm in favor of this remake is because it is a real vampire movie. None of that sparkly-climb-trees-like-a-squirrel Twilight shit.
