DST Light Up Slimer

I just saw this over at Entertainment Earth. Apparently Diamond Select is planning a light up Slimer statue for April of next year. Anyone heard anything about this? To me it looks like it's based off the bank mold, which didn't wow me the first time, but I'll wait to see what people say when the product actually comes out.

Its absolutely the same mold as the bank, which is absolutely horrible.

I'll definitely pass on this, just like I did on the bank.

Now that I think about it, even though I don't like the mold, this might make a neat, although expensive, night light for my son's room.

Is it me, or is anyone else getting kind of bored with this sudden wave of sub-par merchandise that's being launched at us?

I'd say keep it coming and enjoy it while we can. Believe me, I only buy what I like and not everything. I know for a fact there was good and bad merchandise back in the day.
