http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300262584376&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=020 Version 6 of Ghostbusters Ecto Goggles is somewhat of a a break from my typical goggle props to offer something different. The lenses are now more “movie accurate” and feature 3 small bright green LEDs inside which illuminate each lense yet still allow you to see out. The paint scheme is a very flat black with silver scuffs and weathering. Labels were added for detail, including inside the viewer to recreate the movie's HUD. Insulating foam was added to the rims for comfort. The lighting system is powered by a 9volt (included) that is fits snuggly in the frame and is easily replaceable. The elastic straps are adjustable and extra long so you can find your size and then trim them if the excess hangs out too far.
Halloween is fast approaching, so as soon as I receive payment these will be mailed to assure you receive them in time. I have so many projects to catch up on and the Tampa Bay Ghostbusters (
www.myspace.com/tampabayghostbusters) have a very busy schedule for October, so this may be the last pair of goggles I get finished before Halloween.
Paints used:
- Krylon Fusion Flat Black
- Testors Model Master Acryl Silver
- Tamiya Acrylic Chrome Silver
First a basecoat of Flat Black, then Silver for the end of the lenses. Chrome Silver was then drybrushed on for detailing and weathering.
