Its not everyday you see a '59 caddy ambulance with the NO-Ghost Logo on both sides and the back driving around. The blue lights are specifically for police use only, whether the car looks like a squad car or not. A licence for that wouldnt be a bad idea if it could be approved.

im gonna try to write to my senator about that, i mean c'mon alot of Police cars dont even use blue lights any more i have seen: blue, blue & red, red & white, blue & white, blue & red & white, and sometimes even green, IS THERE NO END TO THIS MADDNESS??

I suppose it wouldn't be too bad if you had the blue lights on your car but didn't activate them on the road. Nobody will hardly notice them if they aint flashing.

BUT, if I'm driving my car at 100km/hour down the road and I see blue flashing lights coming at me in my rear vision mirror, of course the first thing I'll think is “cops!” regardless of what kind of car it is. I notice the lights first, then the car. It's the same with ambulances and fire trucks. And that's why local councils don't allow private vehicles to display blue lights, because the average motorist won't be able to differentiate between you and real cops when they see the lights flashing from a distance. Sure up close everyone will know what the car is, but on the road while driving at speed it's kinda hard to tell the difference.
