Ecto-1 back on tv

Well, sort of anyway. I just saw a commercial on tv that had Taylor Swift doing a promo for the new Sony camera. In the beginning of the shot, driving across the screen in a wide shot was Ecto-1. To be honest, when i saw that the background around the car disappeared to me and I only saw her. Then they show Taylor Swift and an exec telling her to wave the cam over the crowd of fans to get em all in one shot, …and in a prime example of ADD, Americans and short attention spans, the rest of the commerical doesn't matter. Just that Ecto made a brief appearance on tv again.

And uh, that concludes my report. Who do I hand this into? Or is this old news and I can ball this up and toss it into the trash?

Yeah thats the one. Too bad they shot it from so far away. Damn you Taylor Swift. You should have been takin pics of the car! Ehh, celebrities…what are you going to do? Not big or exciting news but still happy to see something of GBs on tv. Thanks Rip for postin the vid. I wasn't sure if this was old news or not.

Already saw the tv ad… but, I wonder… what has to do the Ecto-1 with that tv ad??

It's some of Sony's various properties in a warehouse pretty much. Just a sprinkle of GB here and there.

probably true it almost looked like the ornament from hallmark.

If it is, then they did a damn good job composting it into the scene. You can even see the reflections and shadows made by the car. But I think they probably used a Ecto-1 built for promotional displays such as the video game or it could be the original.

im prpbably wrong now that i watch it again, but that just says how well the ornament was made in my opinion.

It's the original. In the full-sized commercial you can see the miss-painted, currently backwards, TV antenna on top of the car.

My bet would be it is a simple CGI edit.
