Ecto-1 Decals

Hello. I was just looking at my Ecto-1 collection when I decided I needed a few more decals for my Ecto-1 cars. Since I have one brand new Ecto-1 car complete in a box, I decided to make a copy of the Ecto-1 decals. What I did was scan the decals that came with the original Ecto-1 and printed them out on sticker paper. To my surprise, the size came out exactly the same as the original decals included with the Ecto-1. If anybody needs a set of decals for their Ecto-1 car, this is what you will need to do:

1. First, you must have Paint Shop Pro. To download it, just go to http://www.jasc.com and under free downloads go to the evaulation software, select Paint Shop Pro, and download it.

2. Go to http://www.envy.nu/gbdecal/index.html and save the picture as a .jpg file.

3. Go into Paint Shop Pro and open up the .jpg file. Go to print preview and make sure it looks correct. The picture should be at the top left corner. Then go to print and modify the Dots Per Inch (DPI) in the properties box.

From there, you must have sticker paper, which can be bought at any computer store, high quality printer, and patience with cutting out the stickers from the sticker sheet. After you're all done, if you have cut it out correctly, it should fit directly on your old 1984 Ecto-1. I know this may not be the exact same quality as the original stickers that came with the Ecto-1, but it's pretty close and beats having to go through the trouble of finding the decals seperately or finding a brand new Ecto-1 with decals. Hope this helps.

(Please note that the image isn't as big as it appears on the web page. Do not print directly from the web page. You must print the image from Paint Shop Pro in order for the size to print correctly. If all goes well, you will have an additional Ecto-1 decal set for your Ecto-1.)

ok, this does not have much to do with the original post, but I would have put it under the same topic title.

Does anyone know where to get a no-ghost decal thats life size to put on a real car? Replica owners, Did you have it painted or is it a decal? What can I do?
