Ecto 1 Filming in Downtown Los Angeles

Hello all! Waited a while before joining to post this, because I was hoping some info would come out and clear everything up, but it hasnt. I was eating lunch with a friend about 3 weeks- month ago at California Pizza Kitchen in downtown Los Angeles. As we were eating my friend pointed out a large film crew driving down the road filming something on a trailer behind it. As it got closer, both of us flipped out because it was Ecto 1 on the trailer! The crew was clearly professional and had very nice equipment from what I could tell. Clearly not amateurs or students. Ive looked all over the web and tried to see if there was any news, but nothing. Anyone know anything about this?

Weezt0e,
'Professionals' is one way to put it… I'd say the camera and lighting crew were likely skilled men… (It will make sense in a bit).

This group were filming the video to the Mistah Fab song, “Ghost Ride It” where he endorses the insane stunt of ‘Ghost Riding’.

They made use of an Ecto-1 replica that was being shipped back to California from Nebraska for filming… although they did some stuff that didn't leave many friends of the owner, or fans of the replica happy.

The owner is a guy named Sean Bishop, who runs the prop forum: Proptopia, as well as a site for his Ghostbusters prop replicas: GBProject.

Hope that fills you in on all the info.

It's already being discussed here.

I purposely did not mention it on any of the Ghostbusters forum except for one to see if anyone post about it.

Someone already beat you to it.

And on that note, I'll be locking this topic.
