Hello All,

The Ecto-1 Lithograph is now available at www.88mph.net

This is not a pre-order. Lithographs are already printed and ready to ship.

Best Regards

Not really my cup of tea. Good luck selling tho!

BTW - how does this save the ECTO-1?

The proceeds go towards paying GM's licensing fees to use the Ecto-1 in future comics.

That's my assumption.

Hello Sebastien

I see you don't ship to Holland

I hope that will change in the future because i really would love to have such a litograph.

best regards,

Robert

These should be free to anyone that pre ordered the hardcover. Why would anyone send even more money after not receiving anything the first time? I don't care if they are in stock, I think I'll save my money. If I want a sketch of ecto, I have plenty of plain white paper and pencils to draw one myself.

I think it looks cool and everything, but I simply cannot pick one up due to the shipping cost. I've ordered so much stuff off of ebay and nothing cost anywhere near to this. I don't mind paying the 19.99 for the lithograph, but 16.56 is just too much for shipping. I'd rather pay less and not care if it gets a little curved or something. I just bought a few comics from the UK and it only cost me 6 dollars. Wouldn't it be cheaper to get stuff from Canada if I live in the US?

I'm not trying to complain, I'm just saying that I would definitly be interested in this if you could pick the shipping method.

I think if I paid 16.56 for shipping my wife would stick my hand in the blender.

Wow, i didn't even check to see how much shipping was. I'm guessing Sebastien must hand deliver these himself (*peter)

With that shipping, the litho is about how much I payed for the book I think. (*egon) :-O Other people have asked why the pricey shipping, does anyone know? Otherwise I'd probably be more inclined to get one maybe.

That's my assumption.

You assume correctly.

I assumed right then too… I posted this last night but deleted it thinking that I was probably assuming wrong… I was confused thinking, is it for the Ecto-1's fees, or is it to raise funds to finally release the hardcover?

http://www.weaverhall.com/viewtopic.php?t=243

Change is done for many reasons and always aimed to embelish something. Now I realize the Ecto is like a character on its own but the fact is the Ecto is a 1959 Cadillac…hence the need for licensing fees with GM. The GM logo you see on the inside front cover is not cheap.

Furthermore I got this kickass idea about a new ride for the boys in grey. I love the ecto and will do all I can to keep it, but if in the end it costs too much to keep it going then to the dealership we go.

And it would not be a Hummer or anything that needs another license. It won't be a super high tech car out of Star Trek or something.

It would be rugged, GB-iconic, and would still need shocks repair, discs brake replacement, etc.

I'm not saying this would all be GM's fault, not at all, but licensing costs a lot and in doing business hard decisions come into play.

If it were down to :

A. Lets have a GB comic but no Ecto
B. Lets not have a comic and keep the Ecto and wait for a very rich publisher to pay for the GM licence. I'm not disclosing the final amount but its “several” thousands of american dollars we are talking about.

What would people choose ?

Any other publisher is confronted with the same dilemas as I am now when trademarked items are being used to make business.

Like I said, GM is not at fault and I will do all I can to keep the car as is.

I will let this poll go as is and post another one with a pic of the new proposed car, so people will be able to comment on what would replace the original Ecto if it should come to pass.

Cheers
