Odd question but I think this is the best place to start.

I am getting married I think in 2012/13 and I ama huge Ghostbusters fan and want to arrive to the church in an Ecto-1

How would I go about “renting” one as it were for the day?

You UK or US based?

I thought the same for my wedding 2 years ago, but here in Mexico you find nothing. Good luck on this dude.

you could give them a try and see…..theres prob other companies in the uk but this one seems to have everything….best of luck with it

There are two finished Ecto-1 replicas based in the UK (both appear on that site, although I'm not sure if that company has access to both).

Although, as things stand one of those two is being sold, and may no longer be available for rent, so your options may pretty quickly become limited. The one that isn't being sold, currently owned by one Milton Homan, is often used for public “star car” events and science fiction conventions, and so will probably still be a viable option if it's still being used in a couple of years, but availability will depend on any events that are arranged around the time of your wedding, not to mention your location in relation to Milton's, and how much you're able to set aside to rent it.

The short version: Best plan for the possibility that none of the cars will be available by the time your wedding comes around.

I will get one of these cars for my wedding groom car!!! I will find one lol
