Do you people know what model car was used for the Ecto-1 and 1A? Was it a hurse or an ambulance? Anyway, it's great to be a part of the team.

The Ecto was based on a 1959 Miller-Meteor Cadillac Limo Style Low Top Ambulance.
(Folks have been known to argue as to whether it was really an Ambulance or a Combo. But, It doesnt really matter much as they are identical except for Interior setup)

OK, here we go!
there was 2 59 M&M cadillac ambulances used in GB1/2. one for the first film and one for the second. and sony released another 59 M&M cadillac ambulance ECTO-1 for reasons unknown in the cleveland area and universal studios has a fiberglass body replica. if you want more information check out “ecto-info” at my site, ECTO-135.
