Do they actually get paid for doing jobs? i never see them excepting or talking about any money, how are they keeping in business?

Yes, but the animators thought it was superfluous to animate such a thing unless it is deemed necessary.

There are some episodes however where you do see peter pull out the bill on people and hand it to them and on one occasion I remember was that Peter tricked a hospital on the bill. The episode was when they got infected by a ghost and started mutating. The hospital took care of them, but the Ghostbusters realized how to solve it. At the end the hospital gave them a bill for their service and the Ghostbusters gave them there for their service and it just so happens that the amounts were exactly the same….Cleaver Peter, very cleaver.

As for which one is…“better.” I would say it is RGB. I mean the animation is just classic, the sounds are original and they had a kick ass soundtrack to it. I also found the RGB episodes to be more colorful as the plot took them into many dimensions and faced many creatures. Something I didn't see too often in EGB.

I think the only EGB I truly liked, and this is probably obvious, was the “Back in the Sattle” episodes

er sorry guys i know the RGB guys got paid, i ment the EGBs, (i was watching that dvd cause america gets the good show and we get that one) do they get paid?

I'm sure that, if she had to, Janine would strongly impress upon the Extreme Team of the need to bill their clients. That is not a lady you'd want mad at you twice, so after the first time they forgot…..they wouldn't forget again.:-)

i think we should throw the egb fans a bone and at least say that extreme ghostbusters was better than slimer and the real ghostbusters, also possibly better than the episodes with the jr ghostbusters.
and on a similar note, does anybody have a wheelchair i could borrow for halloween? i would like to go as garrett just to see how many people actually get that reference wherever i end up on halloween.

Slimer's actual spinoff cartoon, or just when the show rebranded itself? If it's the latter, XGB definitely can't compare with Follow That Hearse, the one episode of RGB (or Slimer and the Real Ghostbusters if you prefer) that actually scared me. It was better than some of the episodes of that era, but other episodes of that era were really good despite the botching going on…

Which leaves me torn, because leaving out the JGBs, Halloween 2 1/2 and The Boogieman is Back are pretty good episodes… (*egon)

Nah, it's faux techno-rock. Which was, I will admit, gritty and edgy in 1998, but now just seems so…20th Century, if you don't mind my saying it.

Also, I found the “Horrorbles” things from the J.N. Kline books (I forget what their real names are!) really horrific. A ghost the ‘Busters can’t defeat unless they write about it first…*shudder*

Oh really? check out the demon in the episode Egon's Ghost…you honestly can tell me that the horribly drawn/poorly animated sphinx was freakier looking than that?

Scary enough, I agree…and what makes it funnier is that I think the Jr. Ghostbusters nearly killed some of what could've been the best RGB episodes ever. Some of which are still my favorites cause I just try to “block” the Jr. Ghostbusters out of my mind….

Despite how annoying Garrett is, I still gotta give him credit for his “go get 'em” personality; the Jr. Ghostbusters had the chance to impress me in “the Boogeyman is Back” when they HAD THE PROTON PACKS IN THEIR HANDS, and they completely blew it…

The show really would've jumped the Shark if they'd used the packs, as awful and cliche they already were, at least they had the good graces to leave the ghostbusting to the Ghostbusters.
