you are absolutely right Knight. That is what I have been trying to say all along. Is that this is a collectors item that is hard to come but and wont be given away for peanuts. I too paid $400+ for a he-man figure that I know will have for life. Money is money but the collectors pieces last a lifetime.

Wow what a coincidence that someone joins today and happens to make their first post agreeing with you and insulting everyone else. That seems a little to good to be true huh? Who knows? Maybe someone will buy out your Egon figure next?

You Guys really need to grow up. All of you. Especially you Kingpin. Just because you run this site doesn't mean you need to respond unprofessionally with statements that are clearly your opinion, and not fact.

*Actually he doesn't, Chad Paulson does…Ben is a Mod here…

Michael Knight;142070
I paid $400+ for a ScareGlow variant, mint on Card a few months ago and I'm happy that I'll have it regardless of the money it took; money that would have come and gone anyway on a few nights out and lunch money; but as it is, I'm broke and He-Man/MOTU is where I'm at anyway.

*Well good for you - Would you like a cookie?…I've been seriously collecting for the last 25 years, and yes I've paid an exhorbitant price or two here and there, and had to do without myself…However what he - “Charmyer” or whatever - is charging for them individually or as a set is outright highway robbery…And what you paid for the “Ectoglow” figure on eBay is NOT indicative of EVERY “RGB MOC” sale…I've seen at least 2 1rst series RGB MOCs go for $180 each…And second series ones go for $20-$35 a pop…Same with the later series….

*Just because every hackeneyed dolt bids over and over again, driving up the price through the roof does NOT equate what the current “collector's market value” is…Which is what seller's are SUPPOSED to go by when pricing vintage figures for sale…And ask ANY eBay'er what would they rather do - Pay the cheaper price, or the INSANELY HIGH driven up one…I know damn well which one they'd choose…

Michael Knight;142070
Sell to the people who don't gripe about not having milk money and the fact that they can't afford your item, keep your head up, wait for the person who is willing to sacrifice to get something they couldn't have before, an possably never again.

*Ummmm rigggght…Last time I checked we were in a RECESSION…Most of us here have things called ummm BILLS, and have to do that thing, uh you know EAT? And then there's the issue of keeping what's that again - A ROOF OVER OUR HEADS…And that's not counting those of us with kids…So you're damn right we'll gripe about not having the “milk money” to spend on figures that are 1] NOT completely “mint”, and 2] are GROSSLY overpriced…

*And for your information - They come up on eBay at least 4 times a year, in BETTER condition, and have since I started using the site back in '96…

Michael Knight;142070
TRUE collectors of anything, toy line or any other item, do not gripe about collecting prize peices they've saved up to get.

*No we won't cry foul when getting that coveted “sought-after” piece…However REAL collectors know when to say “no”, and know when they are being swindled…

*That's ONLY if your house doesn't burn up a fire, you get robbed, or you have to resell due to debt…And AGAIN the figures ARE rare, but are NOT that hard to come by…

*I swear you and your “1 post friend” here sound like an f'ing infomercial…Seriously - Just pack it up…No one here is interested in your figures, nor your attitude…

*Yeah that's kinda convienent for Char-Char here now isn't it? :-)…

*Cheers.

If you weren't out of bounds before you are more than out of bounds now. If you have a problem with someone that’s one thing but to drag someone into the argument as well as that persons family has not a thing to do with the argument is another thing

Funny how now that I am criticizing Dr. Venkman in an “open, public forum” now I am being threatend with having an infraction put on me. A little biased?
Hypocrisy I say!

You are running the risk of an infraction because in three other topics, you have effectively stalked Venkman and made unfounded remarks that he is trying to bully people into lowering their prices.

You are hardly someone to raise issues of bias.

Michael Knight, charmyer has been making his grudge with Venkman very public, to the point of following him to other topics to complain about him. Furthermore, he did lie about the nature of the auction. There's no opinion about it, it's a fact.

And just for the record, $800 is hardly “milk money”. This isn't someone quibbling about a $10 figure trying to get it down to $2, this is someone trying to charge $800 for a figure that in all common sense would, at best, be worth half that.

And as for your disgusting remarks about this forum's Administrator, he has been informed by another member of this site so I imagine you will be dealt with shortly.

Charmyer, due to your lack of respect for this forum's members through your deceit and your attacks (regardless of whether he provoked you or not), this thread is an excellent example of how not to handle a auction on this site.

Flawed as my logic may be, I feel the only worthwhile course of action for the moment will be to lock this topic pending further discussion with the site's Admin. The auction link will still be there, but I honeslty don't think anyone here in their right mind would buy your figure.
